PCOS
Hi Marcia
I have had PCOC for years now and its what made me decide to get weight loss surgery because I could not lose it on my own with this condition. I had surgery in Jan of this yr and to date I have lost 62 pnds. Now some people lose more, I lose slowly sometimes and sometimes I do good. I know that this condition does a number on my hormones etc so I try not to get to upset when I stay still in weight loss like I have for the past 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope this answers your question. I get scared sometimes that I will never lose it all but I am only 3 mnths out but I have to say I hit times when I stay still or dont lose at all but then the next week or 2 I lose 5+ so I guess I am doing good.
The hair issue if you have this is not going away and I pray it does someday,
I too have PCOS, and my weight is my most apparent symptom. I've been very lucky that the weight I lost pre-op helped bring my bloodwork down into the normal range for the first time.
I'm only 8 weeks post op, so the long term changes won't be apparent to me for a while, but I'm feeling good about it!
