At GOAL. -160 LBS
This is the only time I have posted on any message board. I had open RNY on 3/4/03. I started at 318. I am at GOAL! I have lost 160lbs to date and do not need to lose any more. I can tell you all that what helped me lose the weight was working out at the gym. I started working out on May 1 2003 and I worked out 5 days a week faithfully.( I am slacking off a little bit these days.) It really helped get the weight off faster. Eat right and work out and the weight will come off. Remember it is not a DIET it is a LIFE STYLE CHANGE. If you look at it that way you might find it easier to handle. Congratulations Janet! You are correct. It is a permanent life style change. If we lose the weight and then go back to our old ways of doing things....the weight will come back. At least that is how I feel about it. I had surgery so that I would have a chance to change the way I treat my body. Best thing I ever did.
