Hi, I'm hoping to hear from some long timers to find out about their lifestyles, any weight gain or complications? I'm considering an open RNY and want to hear all sides. Thanks very much. Joyce

Hi- I had my surgery in April of 1997. It was hard, but the best thing I ever did. It changed my life. I need to have a revision in Dec. do to complications, some serious. I have a number of friends many years out and they will all tell you the same ting. It is work, but worth it. After two plus years you really have to watch it or the weight will come on. You can graze your way back. There are a number of foods I can not eat and the dumping is no fun, but it can be controlled. Pregnancy changed a lot of things for three of us. I hope this helps. Best of luck to you,
