dating, nudity, sex and the skin x-post
Well, since I recently revealed my skin suit to my new man, I thought I'd share how it went, since this has been an often visited topic.
I told him on our second date (about 6 hours into this date, the first one had gone 7) about my surgery because he asked about my medic alert bracelet. He had already noticed that I didn't drink with my meal, that I didn't eat a lot, and that I worried about some reactive hypoglycemia after eating ice cream. He told me that he thought the "reveal" was very sensible, not overwhelming to hear about it after learning all the other pieces.
I never mentioned anything about excess skin or expressed any concern/embarassment about my body. He did not mention anything either...until I asked him. He told me that yes, if I hadn't mentioned my weight loss he would have wondered "what was up" when my clothes came off, but that since he knew, it wasn't an issue. He wasn't sure if he would have found me less attractive if he didn't know why, because he did know why....and almost found me hotter because it was a mark of how hard I've worked.
He has repeatedly said that I'm beautiful and gorgeous and that in a million years no one would know by seeing me in clothes. I think he may like being in on a "secret". Kind like why tan lines are sexy.
Anyway - that's what happened! Hopefully some of you will find this comforting - and believe some of us when we tell you - the right guy couldn't care less about saggy boobs and a sharpei ass

I shouldn't laugh Brooke, but you've gotta admit, it's funny! And of course, you probably have different "problem areas", so as to make the whole thing worse. I work really hard to not be self-conscious, but it's not always easy. I do remind myself a lot that there are very few perfect looking people around me.
I hope you get more comfy in time..or use it to up the "mystique", at the very least!!

Sue - congrats on the new guy - hope he works out for you. Looking forward to meeting him - HOEPFULLY at the finish line (still worried I won't make it ....! But I'm going to try !) with ICE CREAM - lol
Loved the sharpei ass comment too !
Brook as far as the issues - they are frustrating - Hubby and I have been married 24 years (yesterday) and we have a very solid relationship - but the "skin" bugs me and we have had many talks about it - he loved me when I was bigger - why would "skin" bother him - is what he tells me - and I think I know it won't but it bothers ME and sometimes we have to get past ourselves and sometimes that's more difficult than anything else.....
