Plastics Consult at UMass

I've got my plastic surgery consult today at UMass with Dr. Akyurek.  Has anyone heard anything good, bad or otherwise?  Anyone have plastics at UMass with anyone else? Thoughts?  I'd take anything anyone has to offer!!! I know I can get more than one consult if I want, but I'm just trying to get a feel..

I'm wicked nervous..this is totally coming full circle..the weight loss has been amazing, but to actually think that all that saggy skin will be gone and I will no longer look like I'm 97 when I'm naked would be FANTASTIC!!!

Thanks for any info anyone has to share!!

I had Dr. Janice Lalikos from Umass on several occasions to have painful lipomas removed.  Seven to be exact.  She was very professional but also had a sense of humor.  I can't even see the scars and it was done 2 summers ago.  She will be my choice when the time comes.
Good Luck to you.

They took pictures, had me answer about a million questions and are sending it off to insurance...I should hear in 4-6 weeks and be wearing my binder before the end of 2010!!

I've already met my deductible for the year for my health insurance which is the only reason I even called to get a consult, so I'm hoping to get it done in December after all my races are done for the year!!

I had Dr. Janice Lalikos do my tummy tuck, breast augmentation and breast lift all at the same time back in May 2007 and everything was great!!  My only recommendation is to make sure you are standing up straight when they mark you before surgery.  Any other specific questions, fire away....
