Need Opinions about my 1/2 Marathon
I registered for the Worcester 1/2 Marathon 4 months ago... that's when I started to train and then all the problems with my adhesion started. I'm on my second Steriod shot and it still has not helped. Needless to say, I have not been training. I can jog 2 miles and then walk a little and then jog for a mile then walk a little again and so forth. This race lets people walk, run, jog, hell rollerblade so I'm not worried about breaking any rules. I just was curious what you all think...should I bag it and not try to finish this race or just try to push through it?
Thanks.
As someone who tried the running routine 2x and bagged it (I plan on trying again when school gets out and I have more time to devote to it......) my opinion might not mean much.......lol
In any case I say DO it - you CAN finish and given everything you are going through right now - you will feel good about yourself when you ACCOMPLISH your goal. Jog, walk, whatever it takes - cross the line........... I think it'll give you a lift !!! Just my thoughts. Best of luck !

What will make you feel good?
I know i have the endurance to power myself 13 miles - one way or the other. i'm not entirely sure I can run 13 miles - most I've run since April race is 7 last weekend, but I know I can walk whatever I can't run without hurting myself.
My goals are to 1. keep moving and 2. finish strong. That might mean being upright. ;)
If you think you can make it without being in tremendous pain, I say go for it. You will feel like a rockstar!
If you want to switch to the 5K and give that a shot - do it! I bet with adrenaline you can run the whole thing!
I know life and adhesions have gotten in the way. Don't give up your dream - just use this event as a stepping stone!
