Protein FOODS...Where can I order them from?
Hi everyone!
I am ending my pureed stage soon and I will be able to go back to normal foods. At this final stage, what are you eating? What about snacks? In the past I have seen on some posts that people order pouch worthy cereals, chips, popcorn, cookies (snacks in general) online.
Please share with me what you get and where you get them from.
My pouch and I will greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Rose

I don't buy anything from any type of specialty store. I just label read - high protein, low sugar, low sodium, etc.
Quick snacks I like colby jack cheese sticks, kettle popcorn, and stuff like that. I would stay away from cookies ..even "specialty" ones - it just screams potential to start a new, bad habit.
I keep cereal bars in my car mostly because they don't melt and I'm hypoglycemic so I can quickly grab it.
And of course ....I loveeeee strawberries, bananas, and kiwi.
My main sources of protein are in the meats I eat. Or protein shakes. Eventually you will get the go ahead to experiment with shake options if you haven't already.

Hi Rose! I am now addicted to www.bariatricchoice.com. I have found a few meals that I love! Check out the entrees link on the left hand side: I LOVE the WonderSlim Steak & Ch Macaroni and Pasta Alfredo. They looked kind of gross at first but they are delicious!! I have also become addicted to the WonderSlim protein bars: Crispy Fudge and Graham and Chocolate Coconut (and I have ALWAYS hated anything coconut, but these are too good to pass up!)
Hope this helps!!!

At that stage I was eating refried beans about a tbl. and a slice of bananna....then boiled eggs mixed with mayo and mustard were pretty easy. My surgeon told me Protein first then vegs and then fruit...which you usually don't have room for. I had a soft stage and no pureed stage. I didn't order anything...tastes change for sure. Stay away from the carbs if you want to loose weight! Change your lifestyle..that's what I did...Once in a while I eat and take bites of something I want if I really want it! Good Luck Patty
I pretty much live on meat and cheese. :) Cereals, chips, popcorn cookies and snacks? No, thanks. I like me some carbs, but not many. They kill me.
In the early stages I ate a lot of beans, cheese, soft canned chicken, protein bars, protein shakes, you know... easy to eat foods.
I like Gastric Bypass Supplements for protein, he's local. :)
