Losing before surgery???
i did the old fashioned eat less, move more. i cut out fried foods, cut down my portions, tried to do 1/2 hour of activity/exercise every day. I rewarded myself for exercising more than 4X week for a month. I'm very reward driven!
I never took any weight-loss meds.

I second what Sue said. Just try to make healthy changes with your eating, less processed and more real, whole foods and exercise. I started doing 5 minutes a day on my stationary bike or walking and slowly added so that by the time I had my surgery I was doing 30-45 minutes 3-4 times a week. I think loosing whatever weight you can and even more importantly increasing your heart and lung health via exercise before surgery the better and easier your recovery will be in the long run. Talk to your Dr.'s I'm sure they will be happy to give you advice. Good Luck!
