The most important thing is your health.  The vanity is fun and being a size 2 or 8 or whatever is awesome, but I remind myself daily that I'm MOST grateful for getting away from daily insulin injections and blood pressure pills and all that stuff. 

I didn't know how to set a goal weight - i've been afraid of the scale since jr. high.  I basically ended up picking the highest weight I could be to still be a "normal" BMI, just to see if I could do it.  For me, it turns out to be a pretty good place.  Otherns never real a BMI under 25, and are also a success, and look great.  Our bodies are weird, our bone density is higher than "regular" people...  so go with the flow.  Challenge yourself, but make sure your goals are realistic and healthy.
