perferated ulcer
hi everyone , its been a long time. i had my bypass 6/10/08 and everything has been great untill last week ive lost a little ove 135lbs and felt great . i woke up last sat morning with a feeling of heartburn and within 3 hours was in the back of an abalance going in for emerengcy sergey for a perferated ulcer. the dr said a few more hours and i may have died . i must tell you my bypass was nothing compared to this first of all this was an "open" surgey i have 36 staples from my belly botton to my strnum this sucks they say anyone can get it and that the bypass over a year ago probley had nothing to do with it but that my stomach is so much smaller that a few small holes in someone else are afew big holes in mine i m begining to belive this whole thing will never end THINK,THINK, THINK im not saying i regret it im just saying there was so much i did not know
Sorry that this happened to you!
It is a risk we all take - do you know if you did anything that helped the ulcer develop or was it just bad luck?
Hopefully you will be feeling better soon!
