Adding protein to your clears/water
I never worried about the protein at the beginning. Fluids are much more important.
I used to have 1 protein shake a day with Unjury protein, and maybe a scrambled egg. After your first month there's plenty of time to worry about protein.
CIB is garbage. That's really hardly even worth it. If you're going to go that route, get higher quality protein & use that instead.
Just what I've picked up...

I also focused on fluids over protein as my doctor instructed for that first post-op month.
(But then again, the previous poster and I went to the same practice for surgery, so listen to what your doctor says as far as protein for the first month first and foremost.)
But I did drink a LOT of Light (with no added sugar whatsoever, just sucralose) strawberry yogurt smoothie drinks. Hannaford brand ones are excellent.
I on the other hand loved the CIB, so to each his own. But when you need something more substantial or just different, try the yogurt smoothies. Even if you don't like yogurt (which I don't) give them a shot.
I also drank fruit punch isopure. If you DO like them, then those are AWESOME for protein.
