ok so i dont know if anyone has read my latest blog but i had my sleep study on sunday night and she sat down with me and told me that they are doing a baseline test where she wont put a mask on unless she notices throughout the night that the apnea has gotten really bad. well she never put a mask on and she spoke to me monday morning (luckily i had monday off work) and said to expect them to call me back to do another one, in which case it could take two weeks to get that appointment and then another 2 weeks to get the results, well this was worst case scenario but with my luck worst case is usually my only case, so time wise with everything ive learned it would be a month before the sleep study is over, then a possible month of wearing a cpap then wait for the surgeons office to call me, then wait for the appointment to happen, then wait longer to get a call with a date... im feeling like im looking at 2010 before i get this!

so yesterday i got a call from the sleep study people and they said that they have an opening on monday night can i come back then, sure it will suck since i leave for work at 5:30 but whatever. then they called today. can you come in tonight? crap i cant! but they have an opening saturday night! sweet! luck is getting better! then no sooner did i hang up the phone the surgeons office called to schedule my surgical consult. JUNE 11th!!!!!!!!! im excited! now i just have to come up with the $250 i have left to pay on that but i will beg and plead anyway i can. haha anyone want to donate? j/k

so i had to share my happy news!

That's great that you have your appointment with the surgeon!! Who's your surgeon?
The sleep study is a pain but I guess its important that they figure the whole sleep apnea thing diagnosed before your surgery.

Please keep me posted.  :)

Sending positive thoughts your way!

We have the same surgeon!

I saw Dr. Kelly on April 30th and I received my approval letter in mid-May... so 2-3 weeks I would say. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield for my insurance.

I know I have to have my blood tested again at the end of June due to my anemia.. and then I think you have pre-op testing the week before your scheduled surgery.

It's all so exciting to think it's finally happening!!!  :)

Keep your chin up girl!
