Have any members here avoided plastic surgery
OK- granted I started out with less weight to lose- but I can tell you I do have the jiggly arms, the skin on my stomach that looks like melted wax & really bad boobs.
I'm one of the ones who is saying plastics are not for me. I will see how I feel a year from now after lifting weights and continuing exercise... but for now, I'm cool.

And, you started out REALLY small comparatively, at a 37.8 BMI... so if that's the way you feel about it' "really bad..." LOL.
I am a mess without clothes on. DISGUSTING. But, with clothes on, you'd never know I used to be overweight, unless I show you stretch marks.
My BMI was 50? something.

I agree completely that stretched skin does not tighten over time, but building muscle pulls everything together a bit. I also agree that it is a personal choice.
I am also undecided, and do have flappy skin and funky boobs. Like melting mama, I look like I was never heavy when I am fully dressed. Bra's and the correct fit are much more important to me know than they ever were.
It is a personal choice and really depends a lot on the size of your wallet and how badly you want it. Insurance companies do not pay for cosmetic surgery generally.
I think it's pretty age and cir****tance dependent as well. I will be 50 next year, and I am married. If I were 30 and single I would be running to meet with good surgeons for quotes. For me I am going to wait to see how 50 feels, and keep lifting weights.
