I've lost my butt!

I was 6 months post op on the 5th and figured it was time to do a little posting! I've been chuckling all day because I find myself saying "wow, look at what I can do" ALL the time. It's little things that you never thought you could do again - cross your legs, touch your toes, buy certain clothes, and so on. I even had to adjust my seat and steering wheel the other day to get closer! When you do things you feel like you are doing them for the first time!!! But I have to say it's an amazing feeling.

Now back to the title of my post! Yes, I have lost my ass! The funny thing with losing weight was the first 20-30 I lost was ALL coming off in the boob area. Then I finally starting noticing it in other places. But now I have the flattest butt ever. Where did it go? How can I get it back? (adding bun work out vids to xmas list now)

Also, tomorrow at CWM there is a support group at 1:00 and at 6:00 titled "Holiday Eating". Might be a good one. Me and my flatt butt will be there LOL!

hi Brooke,

It must be a Rebecca Shore thing. Right after my surgery I noticed that it hurt to drive my husband's car - a few weeks later it hurt to drive my car. Then I noticed that it hurt to sit anywhere. I have butt bones that I have never had in my 57 years!!!! I have to sit on pillows everywhere.

In the dozens of times that I have lost weight, this is the first time that this has ever happened. Usually my hips and butt are the last places where I lose weight. This time they were the first to go.

No butt here either...

Sitting is a pain cause too many bones showed up since a few months after the RNY surgery.

I still have a long way to go, but yesterday I was at a meeting for 5 hours and I could feel those bones in my butt that I didn't even know existed!! I might have to bring a chair pad next time :)

Hey Brooke, I am planning on going to the CWM meeting tomorrow night.....See you there?

That's so funny, no matter how many times I've lost weight, my fanny was the last to go.  I am 10 weeks post-op today (down 40 pounds).  I know everyone's body is different and is built differently, but I was at 245 the day of my surgery, in a size 20.  I'm around 205 now and I squeezed in to a size 16 jeans the other day.  I almost feel like I should be smaller, especiall my butt?  After I read your post, I had a "wow, me too!" moment.  I've been saying this whole past week, that my hips are killing me!  I was thinking that I needed a new mattress.  Then I noticed that my inner elbows hurt after sitting at my desk all day at work.  Sure, my thighs still rub together and my gut still hangs over my pants, but I've got skinny elbows and smaller hips, great.  Congrats on your weight loss.  Feels good to be able to paint your own toenails again, huh?
