This is so hard
I m in the "waiting for an answer" phase, This is one of the harder things to go through. Ive been done with everything they asked for, for about 3 months now I was told I would have an answer last week, so I called the insurance compampy to find out my office revied a fax saying they didnt send all the paper work so I had to call the office who were rude to me about me asking them to resend so I can wait all over again.
I know it is so frustrating the crap we have to go through!! Don't insurance companies realize that they will actually save money on us after we have our surgeries! I mean there will be so much less need for our medical issues down the road. Ya I had everyting all set and then got postponed and had to call 4 times to get a date set in stone - but my persistence paid off finally and I will be going in on 10/1. Started process in Feb - consult in May pre-op in june, surgery scheduled for 7/1- postponed 5 days before due to a gentic blood clotting issue byut then cleared by blood specialist on 7/23- called and called and called and finally yesterday a date was pinned down to 10/1. So there is a lot of impatient waitng but in that period of time I have had time to reflect and am more educated and confident in my decision than ever and so is my family becuase of it. So although, I HATED to hear it- everything happens for a reason and sometimes we don;t that reason unitl much later if at all. Your patience will pay off but be persistant and don't take any crap- you are the customer!! Andrea
