Fage Yogurt

I was looking through the supermarket ads today and noticed that DeMoulas and Stop and Shop carry the Fage Yogurt. I am going to pick it up tomorrow and give it a try.

By itself it doens't taste very good, but mixed with a little splenda and fresh fruit, it's very good.  I also use it plain in place of sour cream.

I also tried it plain, and didnt like it.  You are right, it does make a great replacement for Sour Cream.  I had Taco Salad (minus the taco) the other night, and used it to up my protein, for the meal.  It was very good.  I had always gotten it at Trader Joe's.  I will have to check Demoulas.

Believe it or not the Fage is okay when used to cut Mayo.  I use it for egg salad, Tuna fish and chicken salad - half mayo and half Fage for less fat and more protein.  It works pretty good.

If you can find Chobani greek yogurt (some of the Stop and Shop's carry it) try it, it's even better and cheaper than the Fage

I heard it's great with Hidden Valley Ranch dressing powder.  Mix it in for a great veggie dip or use soy crisps.
