help ma health and weight center at umass

i was wondering if anyone has had any experoence with the weight center at umass surgeons and masshealth. i went to see my surgeon dr. czerniach on april 21 and he said since i had masshealth they did not need preapproval and they basically just needed to get me scheduled so they would be calling next week. that was three weeks ago.  i don't know if it was just the dr not having a clue because he does not do the scheduling or if i should call because maybe there is a problem. any advice?

I don't have Mass health or go to Umass Medical.. but if they said they'd call you 3 weeks ago and they have not I'd give them a call and see whats up. It couldn't hurt.

 

The scheduling at UMass can take AGES.  Call them and see when you can expect to hear anything.  The surgeons there are very good (John Kelly is fantastic) but it can take a while to get going in the program.  Best of luck.

It took about 3 weeks for my call with a date. Dr. Czerniach is WONDERFUL!!! I loved him as a surgeon.
