Found ya!!

I didn't realize that there was strictly a MA part of this site.  My goodness I would have been on here from the start.  Not that the main board wasn't extremely helpful but it will just be nicer to have local support and you will all probably know the local Dr's.  I finallyhave a consultation with Dr. Lautz on Thursday and am beside myself with excitement.   I had been refused the surgery before becuase of a lower BMI well now the comorbities have really come into play and I am upset that they don;t want you to have surgery to prevent the comorbities- you have to wait unitl they are in full force.  Well I had made my appt way back in February and had religiously called Eileen in Dr. Lautz's office every Wednesday to see if there were any cancellations ever since but my time has finally arrived.  I am both scared and excited.  I am not dumb to think that this is going to be a cureall for everything and that I am going to wake up skinny without any work to go along with it.  I am all about the hard work and just need this tool to assist me and help me get the results that I have been killing myself for with no avail.  So I am here for the long haul.  After I go to my consulation, I can be more confident about what I am exactly looking for and what I can give.  I am really good with support both giving and receiving so I look forward to your freindship and guidance.  Take care  Andrea

Welcome Andrea...I am working with Dr Vernon, Lautz's partner...Just completed the testing yesterday ( the barium swallow is just lovley....)  I did the info session with Dr lautz and he seems really sincere...I think you will be in very good hands.  I have to say that although Brigam and Womens is one huge and hard to navigate that every single person I have dealt with was great.  My consult was really quite easy and most was handled by the physicians assistant.  I feel really good with the practice and hope you have equally good experiences....All the best of luck to you !!!

thank you guys so much for your support and input.  I really feel better and know that I will do very well having found this new "comfort" zone.  I will fill you in tommorrow as to how it goes.  Hopefully I will get some rest!!
