Mass Health Standard ??

Hey does anyone else have Mass Health standard or had the RNY with it ...if so how long to get approved ??? cause my hubby is on disablity right now and thats what we have cause my work isn't offering health Ins. to pt employees anylonger...Thanks des

Des, I had masshealth standard, you can get the RNY with it but dr K suggested to me to switch to BM****il at least after the surgery. the approval process it much quicker and easier. I was approved in a week.  Ask Dr K's office about it. They would know.

Yes I switched today to BMC and the only doctor that would take me was one at the Goddard Hospital on Liberty Street in Brockton Dr. John Breda so as of the 9th of April thats who I'll have till my surgery is all done with...hopefully everything will go smoothly from here..but Dr, Streeter will still do it...who did you get for a primary doc...?

It's all such a game to these Insurance co. they act like they own you...they make us jump threw hoops lol...Thanks for your input Debbie...Hugs Des

yyes my primary didnt take BMC and I had to switch to someone else for a few months. once i was post-op, i went back to standard. hard to find a masshealth PCS anywhere.

I know right...wonder why...maybe they don't get paid...cause as soon as you mention Mass Health...they're all NOOOOOOO WEEEEE Dont except it....how rude...lol Makes ya feel the love out there...

I have network health/masshealth and go to emerson in concord...

I have Mass health. With the type I have I couldn't switch over. MH has 30 business days to repsond with a referral number. It was a long month... but in the end it was worth it. Not to mention extra time for you to lose some lbs. lol
