I am 3 weeks post-op and no weight change this whole week.
Is it normal to stop loosing weight after only 2 weeks? I weighed 220lbs going into surgery on March 4th, day after surgery I gained weight 19 pounds > weighed 239lbs. in the 1st 2 weeks I went down to 206lbs but my weight has not moved all this past week. I'm walking regularly and exercising. getting most of my fluids in, still having a hard time getting all my protein in.
What am I doing wrong???
Nothing at all .. this happenes .. I am at the same weight for almost 10 days now ... from what I understand our bodies are trying to catch up.. I "stalled" at 3 weeks out too .. The weight you gained from surgery is all water from the IV.
Try not to weigh yourself everyday .. I weigh on Mondays and thats it.. I know it's hard .. at first I weighed myself everyday sometimes 2-3 times a day.. I was getting bad with it.
I still have a hard time getting all my water in .. it has gotten better though.
I posted something like this on the main board today... And got some great answers
It's normal. I had my first stall at 3 week post op and it lasted a week or two. It's just your body needing to catch up on things. Don't worry about it at all. The scale will move...it just needs some time.
Good luck,
Suzanne

I had to move my scale to a place where I don't see it anymore. it drove me crazy. (I am 8 weeks out and I'm down 40 pounds.) I decided that I would only go by my doctor's scale until I've had my three month check up (cuz then I don't go back till my 6 month check up!). So.. for the next month, I am NOT going to weigh myself.
Once I have my 3 month checkup, I am hoping I can be disciplined enough to only weigh myself once a month. I do not want to drive myself crazy!!!!
Good luck!
