I know Lawrence Memorial in Medford was willing to help my daughter apply as she was a college student.   Here is the link and I hope it helps. http://www.mass.gov/?pageID=eohhs2agencylanding&L=4&sid=Eeoh hs2&L0=Home&L1=Government&L2=Departments+and+Divisions&L3=Ma ssHealth

Hey there... they send you an application in the mail or you can print it online(link below). You fill it out and send everything back. Try to include pay stubs or unemployment amount. A copy of each persons SS Card. A copy of you and your husbands ID's and all your birth certificates. If you have kids they will get it immediatley. It will take up to 60 days for you application to go through. They are also known for loosing paperwork so call about a week after you mail it in to make sure they received EVERYTHING they need to process your application. Below is a link on how to apply...good luck. They denied me and my husband because he made too much on unemployment. They did give it to my children at $44 a month for both.

hi katie sorry to hear what happened.  the website you want to go to is: http://massresources.org/pages.cfm?contentID=35&pageID=13&Su bpages=yes the phone number for masshealth is 1-888-665-9993  if they allow you to pick a secondary insurance i would advise you to go with BMC Healthnet Plan.  i have found they are very helpful, but look into it and good luck kristin
