Sleep Study

I agree with you, Lauren. When they asked me about sleep apnea I said I was sure I didn't have it - I snore but I wasn't aware of other symptoms. While the techs were hooking me up to everything they were going through a checklist and I had a lot of the symptoms - morning headache, feeling tired when I woke up, tiredness during the day, etc. Bottom line - within 2 hours of falling asleep they had to wake me up to put a CPAP mask on. At the end of the study I not only had apneic periods, I also had periods up to 17 seconds with NO effort to breathe! Scary - I didn't realize this could be a killer.

I will also do the sleep study no matter what, it was just a question.  I called my PCP to see if she would set me up for a date for the sleep study so I can get that done with.
