NWH: Private Room?

Hi, I requested a private room when I called to preregister for surgery. I also asked again when I went in for my pre op testing and I was told to fill out the form. I got into my room after surgery and I had a roomate! She was very nice, we got to be good friends and she was not a WLS patient.  If I recall it was something like 45.00 a night. When i got my bill from the hospital for my copay they did charge me for the private room. I called and told them that yes I did want one, Yes my 2nd day they offered it and I turned it down, so I should not have been billed. They did more research found that they never switched my room to a private and I wasnt responsible for the additional charge.
