Protein and Water Totals

I had my surgery RNY on April 9th, 2007.  I was wondering how much protein and how much water some of you are taking a day.  I am suppose to be at 70 to 80 protein and 64 water.  What will happen if these numbers are low such as 65 protein and about 30 water.  It is really hard to get the total amounts in.  Any suggestions for high protein foods and a quicker way to get in the fluid?  I just CAN NOT drink much more of these shakes.  Help if you can.

I know what you mean. Mine was 4/24 and they told me 80/48, but there arn't enough hours in the day to eat or drink that much! I do what  I can, make sure I get the maximum protein grams in what I'm eating and start sipping 30 minutes afterward.  Then stop sipping 30 minutes before the next feeding. My niece eats those protein bars that are gerally 25 grams each.  I may stock up on some for work lunches s they go down pretty easily and don't need refrigeration. Good luck! Laurie
