Dr. Miguel Burch

Hi everyone. Well, I have been logging on and just listening to everyone. I am so excited, I finally got my appointment. I was originally scheduled to meet with Dr. Hess, but that was not going to happen until July. I got a call to see if I would mind seeing another Dr. I was a little apprehensive since my sister is seeing Dr. Hess and I have heard such great things about him, and no one seemed to know much about Dr. Burch. Well, I can tell you.....I had my appointment last Friday with Dr. Burch. He is such a "hottie" as my daughter would say. He was phenominal. He listened, he explained everything to include drawing it out on a white-board. When I told him of my reservations, he instantly said "I will completely understand if you decide that you want to see Dr. Hess, and I will not take offense". That right there sealed the deal for me. He is very knowledgeable and has been doing these procedures for a number of years. He did his residency here in Boston and then worked for a few years in Hollywood, CA. He came back at the request of Dr. Hess. My thought is this. If Dr. Hess has confidence in Dr. Burch, then so do I. I am getting ready to start all of my testing. Hopefully, there won't be any issues.

Good for you!! I've heard wonderful things about Dr. Burch too! I'm seeing Hess and am >< this close to approval. One more week I think and then at least I can relax (ha!****il surgery! I met Dr. B in BMC and yes, wooooh!! He is a cutie!! THe most important thing is you're COMFORTABLE with him and confident IN him! Go for it!! Marie

I have also heard wonderfull things about Dr. Birch at WLS groups his patients go on and on about him Congrats on your pending surgery.

After being on here for a bit I had wanted to see Dr. Hess as well but didn't want to wait the 3 months it was going to take just to get an initial appointment.  Long story short I met Dr. Burch and was a little apprehensive because there wasn't any info about him here but he is awesome!!  Like you said, if Hess asked him to come back and work with him ... that just speaks volumes as far as I am concerned.
