Hey eveeryone, We all have different doctors adn we all have different advice on how we are to live our lives with this new lifestyle. I think talking about how we measure our food and the amounts and other daily activities are important to keeping people on track with there lifestyle. Because more than one head to solve a problem when it arises is better than being alone. So Ilets compare the multitude of advice and program outlines, Some of us might not even know some of the ways and others it might be just good review. So I guess I will start. My surgery was done in CAlifornia and my surgeon's daily intake advice is 80 to 100 grams of protein 64 ounces min of Water 2 multivitamins perday 1400 calcium daily B12 sublingual low carb and low fat exercise for 30 mins minimum daily. Do not drink 30 mins before food adn wait 30 min after food to drink this is the basic outline Of course there are other things I do that are just for my health only those things are not included as they are specific to me. I hope this sharing works as a ghelping tool to all of us AMy

I am 8 weeks out and my doctor clears patients for a full low fat diet after 8 weeks. My surgery was at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, Ma. 60 gr protein 64 oz water min 1 multivitamin chewable 1500 mg calcium ( 1 500mg/3x a day) b12 sublingual 2x a week Sugar must be lower than 10 mg per meal. 1 support group per month is required Do not drink 30 min before and until 45 min after eating. Our exercise plan must be presented at last education class before surgery. Also no beef, untoasted bread, corn, seeds, fruit skin. I can have beef, alcohol and caffeine again after 6 mo I think. I am completely sugar free and caffeine free and haven't felt better ever I think. I think this is more strict than others I have heard about but I am extremely happy with the weight loss. Jennifer Lost 43 lbs since surgery - 61 lbs total since start of his program. YAHOO!!
