I am scheduled for my surgery on Feb 5th at Lahey burlington. My surgeon is Dr Naponashy. I was looking to hear if anyone else has had that surgeon or had the surgery at the hospital.

Hi, I had surgery back in April at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. Since surgery I have lost 45 lbs and I did have a hard time with sweets on the holidays. I am back on track now. I did have Dr Naponishay as my surgeon and Pam O'Brien as my nurse practitioner. She is wonderful. As a matter of fact, I am seeing her on Fri for a follow up. I think next Wed 1/31 will be my fifth fill. I can honestly say that this is the best thing I have ever done for myself. The weight comes off slower than the bypass but I chose not to get all cut up inside. If you want to contact me to talk e mail me at [email protected] Good Luck, you will not have any problems. I stayed overnight and went home the next day and on my feet in no time at all. Donna (skinnycat)

Hi Again, I had the lap band. I notice you are having the bypass. You will have a longer stay in the hospital and lose weight faster. Good luck Donna

Hi Patsy, My husband had his RNY at Lahey on January 4th (3 weeks ago today!). His surgeon is Dr. Brams. I attended some of his appointments and was able to meet the nurse practitioner, Pam O'Brien and the nutritionist, Leslie. I think he received excellent care during the entire process. They are very thorough and caring. He had a great hospital stay as well. The inpatient nurses seemed experienced in dealing with WLS patients and were extremely nice. As I mentioned, my husband had the surgery, but I come to the boards occasionally to find ways to help support him. In my opinion, you are in good hands at Lahey. Good luck with your journey.

Patsy I just had my surgery at Lahey on 2/1 - the staff is wonderful. I had Dr. Brams and he was great. The nurses I had on 7E were great to me - do not worry about being a bother to them - its their job and they'll do anything to assist you. There is another RN - Corrine - she works with Pam and the doctors and is great a well as all the staff at WLS in Lahey! If you have any other questions, don't hesistate to ask Lori
