Stephanie, Wow, you told me things I haven't even thought of to get. So far I have about 3 or 4 different protein thingys including instant breakfast. I'm not even sure I like cottage cheese and I'm waiting to try it until after the surgery. I know that helped Lorraine alot. As you can see I'm addicted to Mt. Dew so Erika suggested the diet ice tea (hate coffee and tea but I'll try). Which brand do you buy? When did you start eating saltines? Which shake did you like best? As you can see, I'm really picky which stinks! What did you do with the splenda? Gosh, I'm lucky to have all you guys! xoxo Joanne

I used a package of splenda in an 8 oz shake. It gives it a little more sweetness and I just plain like it. I gave it a spalsh of vanilla extract too. Just a drop or two did the trick for me. I only drink Diet Snapple. One a day for me is good. One 16 oz bottle pre op did me all day. With ice of course. Saltines was week two with some cottage cheese. I got the cottage cheese low fat with onion and chive. Yummy!!!!!! Also Demoulis sells the 4 oz cups of cottage cheese so you can judge 1/2 for one snack and 1/2 for another. Also there is a great yogurt called FAGE. It is a greek yogurt with about 13 or 14 gms of protein in a 9 oz cup. You could divide that up as well. The only thing is you have to add something to this yogurt as it is very very plain. It has no flavor. I mix it with about a tsp or sugar free jello mix or some splenda (Terry just gave me that tip) or some blended berries or pineapple. But for week 1 you would just want to add the sf jello mix or the splenda. And try these next few days to step away from the Dew. You will be better off. Withdrawl is a bXXXX! It doesn't add anything but frustration to the other things you will be dealing with so give it up now before you go to the hospital.

Jo, Don't forget chicken broth too. Buy the box from College Inn. That way you can just pour out what you want then seal it up. With a can you can can't. Sugar free popsicles and Fruit 20 too.

Thanks for all your information! I wrote them down for me as well. Where can I get a personal size blender? Thanks!

Hi Marie You can get the blender at Walmart or Walgreens. Mine is by Hamilton Beach. I love it and I still use it 10 months out.
