i have a date
i dont know if i've posted on this Massachusetts site, but i want to now. i'm from Worcester and i've been researching WLS for about a year now. i honestly thought it was for other people. well, i had to get out of denial and take a good look in the mirror and knew that i was overweight. not just overweight, but obese. oooh, i hate that word. anyway, i'm going thru NWH and my surgeon will be Dr. Gazmuri. I adored him right off the bat. my friend had it done in the same office so she is my guide. i now have a date for my surgery and it has moved super fast. january 16 is the day i can start a new and healthy lifestyle and i want to share it with you as you have all shared your stories with me. this is a wonderful web site. my husband is very supportive. i will keep you posted on my journey.
i didn't get either. i went in for my four hour appointment and they signed by GREEN book, they made my three week appointment and said that they would have a date by then. then i started getting stuff in the mail ...like my appointments MADE for the pre-testing, and the SURGERY ITSELF. i called the office, asked for Renee and said "i must have gotten approved, right". She said "oh, yea, you are approved...you have really great insurance".. blue cross HMO. then i said to her that I was really nervous about not being able to lose weight before my next appointment, decmeber 19th. she said not Not think about and not to fret. so, i'm doing the best i can do. i heard the partridge is more strict about losing weight. gazmuri is strict about smoking. i'm worried about not having enough vacation and sick time from work and i don't have any short term disability. my union leader said that i can put out a request for hours to be donated to me. so we'll see. I'M NOT PUTTING IT OFF!!!
