Hi everyone. I am new to the forums and am looking for the best tasting protein drinks. I tried the whey protein strawberry and thought I was going to get sick. It smelt like it was sour and the taste was awful. I have a surgery date of Jan 3, 2007 and am kinda nervous and excited at the same time. My doctor is Malcolm Robinson from Brigham Womans Hospital. Thank you for any information that you can give me. I want to make sure that I do everything that I need to do to make sure that I lose the weight that I need to. I am also looking for an Angel to help me through this. Have a wonderful holiday everyone.

Well, first off, you're smart for looking into protein now!! Getting on a protein plan now will help you post-op...protein is a healer so getting onboard with protein now will set your groundwork for success AND help you help post-op. As far as what proteins taste good, it's individual. Your tastes will change a bit post-op, but they say what you like now, you will still like to some degree post-op, but dislike is universal (i.e. if you don't like it now, you probably won't post-op). I would highly suggest ordering a sampler pack from bariatriceating.com which, while not cheap, is certainly a better deal than buying 20 big tubs of protein only to find you hate them. You can also buy individual samples of almost any protein powder they sell if you have a specific one in mind to try. http://store.bariatriceating.com/ulprtapa.html http://store.bariatriceating.com/sazecais.html I'm also a fan of Hank's Finest protein...it's a bit more expensive than most, but the flavor is worth it to me. You can get samples here (but I would suggest giving them a fake email address like I did...I've heard they'll flood your email account with requests to buy): http://www.healthfitnesschannel.com/FreeProteinSample.htm Good luck!
