have to lose 12lbs before submitting to insurance
Can anyone help me??!!! I have lose 12 lbs before they will submit my paperwork to insurance. I am freaking out! The whole reason I am having surgery is because I can't lose this on my own....i know it is only 12 lbs, but, i have been overweight all of my life and this just seems so unattainable....

I also had to lost 12 pounds for my surgery...
For breakfast I would eat 1 egg, with a cup of yogurt.. For lunch I had a big baby spinach salad, with 1 small tomato, some mushrooms, and either chicken or tuna salad on top. I didn't use mayo or anything.. And I spritzed the salad with red wine vinegarette spritzers from WishBone (1 calorie per spritz!)... For dinner I would have a 5oz piece of chicken, with 1/2 cup of veggies. I would bake the chicken, with a lemon juice and lemon-pepper seasoning. Only drink water, and lots of it...
I also walked every day for about 30 minutes... It took me about 2.5 months to lose the 12 pounds, but I managed it, and I'm having surgery on the 11th of October. It's not easy, and it requires a lot of determination, and motivation, but it's doable.
Good luck!!
krissy,
My doctor told me to maintain or lose. So I lost, I have always had trouble till I decided to read my gastric bypass book, in the book they recomended that I start 1200 calorie a day diet. So I did and in 1 month I lost 12.3 lbs without really exercising!
My plan was as follows
Breakfast
1 weigh****chers english muffin -plain no butter on jelly
2 scrambled egg beaters eggs
Snack
1 lowfat yogart
Lunch
1 smart ones meal (not more then 300 calories)
snack
1 100 calorie snack pack of my choice
Dinner
Smart ones and a large salad, w/lowfat dressing
Desert
1 100 calorie snack pack or 1 weigh****chers icecream
This now that I think of it is probally less then 1200 calories but pritty close. I lost 12.3 lbs from my first consult 7/26 till 9/1. As of yesterday I lost another 5 lbs. I have increased my exercise from just taking stairs at work and walking to the furthest parking spot away to walking 1.8 miles every other day and rotating with hand weights, crunches, and leg streches and wall pushups. (a set of 20 each rotated between all) I am also taking my multi vitimins daily. I plan to keep this up till my surgery and after my surgery I plan to get out there walking as much as I can.
You can do this, Trust me!
Also- Just be aware that I felt hungry for the first few days, replace the hunger with water and go to bed a little earlier. This deters eating at night!
Good Luck
