Hello!!
Hi everyone! I just found this web site. I wish I would have known about it prior to my surgery. I am recovering from my surgery. I had it completed on 7/27. I didn't really have any complications. The surgeon did have to convert to an open RNY. It seems that my abdomen muscles are too strong and they weren't able to inflate me to complete the surgery laprascopically. Today, is better than yesterday. I know everyday will be better than the last. Good luck to those of you who are getting ready to have your surgery.

Hi Cindy!
I had my surgery at Brigham and Women's. My surgeon is Dr. Ashley Vernon. She is wonderful. She has done a ton of lap band procedures. Do your research about the band. I decided against it because you can easily cheat it. I was in the hospital for 3 days and that was with them having to open me up. I am not sure if I can give you any positives or negatives right now because I haven't been out of my surgery for that long. Let me know if you have any questions.
