Removal recovery time

My band removal recovery was less painful than when it was "installed".  I was able to sleep in my bed while in 2009 I had to sleep in a recliner.  All discomfort from removal surgery was gone in one month.  My band had slipped slightly and had caused a lot of inflammation.  I had to wait three months for my gastric sleeve surgery.

You got to sleep in your bed!!!  Wow...that would be awesome if that happens for me.  :)  Thank you.

How long were you off work after the removal?

My band removal was super easy - in fact I remember feeling great the minute I went home (surgical daycare) and being able to eat that day (if I am remembering correctly).  Good luck - wls is not for everyone, but boy-oh-boy, I love my sleeve

Curious about what you love about your sleeve... I am going to have to have my band removed. I had a hiatal hernia that wasn't repaired at the time of my band placement. I don't know if that caused the prolapse or not. I have had a really tough time with the band, so was just going to go it on my own, but I am intrigued by the sleeve and am considering it as an option if I am even a candidate. Thanks for any input... pros/cons...

I just had the band out Jan. 5th. I had very little pain. I was working a week later.

I took 2 weeks off work, and I do patient care.
