Post op 2nd day from lap band and still can't move around well.
Hello everyone. I just had lap band surgery 2 days ago and still can't move well. In lots of pain, and lots of gas. Taking Tylenol every 6 hours. Today I had 24 oz water, 2 meal replacement shakes, and 3 oz of lentil soup puréed into a liquid. I have 3 ounces of soup left, 2 more meal replacement shakes and more water to complete my day. I see people up and moving around after 1 day and in wondering how???
Anyone have suggestions?
We're all different, I am an up-and-doing person and bounced back. But you have just had an anaesthetic, had knives stuck into you, had your organs handled and moved around. Two days isn't long to get over that!
And the liquid is all that really matters fir the first few days, in fact many of us are told water consistency only for the first couple of days.
So just keep trying to move and keep sipping!

Do what you can tolerate. Don't push yourself. Drink slow and small sips to reach what your surgeon requires. Move as you are able. Anesthesia can sometimes set you back -- it always did me.
