Gallblader
No, I don't know this as fact but I think it may be less of an issue for banded people as we tend to lose less weight and lose it more slowly.
Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
Gall Bladder issues can arise from Weight loss in general NOT from having the actually Surgery, ie: band, sleeve, RNY , etc.. But the rapid WL can be a factor.
BUT so can Genetics, Obesity, Diabetes, to name a few.
You've probably done a search already but.....intense, sudden pain in the upper right side of the abdomen, indigestion or pain after meals that lasts a few hours, intolerance of fatty foods. Again, just to name a few issues that can cause GB problems.
Tests that can be performed= ultrasound and if that's inconclusive a HIDA Scan is more test specific for GB issues.
If your pain is in another location maybe having a Barium Swallow will help.
Good Luck
