Pre op surgery diet
I was not required to do a pre-op diet and you don't say what sort of diet you are followng.
But any withdrawal from carbs can lead to a headache, often for several days. Dehydration can also cause headaches.
If you tell so what your doctor's requirements are, we may be able to give more specific suggestions.
Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!

Hard going! But worth it in the end! Just think what all those carbs were doing to your body if withdrawal makes you feel that bad! Happens to me every time I go off track with my eating. I enjoy the unhealthy food, gradually start to feel more and more lethargic. Get back on track and feel awful for a couple of days - like you, mostly headaches.

Grandchildren are THE BEST. And a good reason for WLS. Nine years ago, I could never have dreamed that I would pay chase with mine on the beach as I did today!

I am 5' 4". At 139, my BMI was in the normal range but towards the top end of it so I shouid have been happy! In fact I was! I ignored people round me telling i was too thin. But DH took a video of me in the pool with my grandson and I quite genuinely took a minute to realise that the little old Indy was me!
I was then 58 but I looked as if I were either in my late 60s or seriously ill. My face looked gaunt and with no fat under the skin, where it wasn't gaunt, it was a mass of wrinkles!
I lost weight for health more than looks. But I am still healthy enough to satisfy myself and my doctor at 155-160. And I dont look ill! I still wear US size 12 tops and 10 skirts and that looks right on me. And it us easier to maintain!

The first few days of a pre-op diet are always the worst. Just stick it out, make sure you're drinking lots, and it'll get a little bit better!

Thanks so much! Today is definitely better. We got hit with a bad snow storm so we r homebound. But have a freezer full of food for the kids and Slim fast and water for me. I'm good to go.
I knew it won't be easy...but well worth it in the end. 17 more days still surgery. I can do this. I got a grandbaby on the way in 6 months
