Lap Band Slippage

After having my lap band for almost 8 years now on friday the doctor said it has slipped. i got totally unfilled and i need to get surgery to put it back in place. did anyone ever have to do this too? i have had severe heartburn for over 2 months and since 2 weeks i couldnt eat anything anymore and had severe pain right after i did eat a teaspoon of joghurt or pudding :( 

Not to me but to many others. Is your doctor re-positioning it or replacing it?

he is trying to re positioning it. i will know thursday because i just got the call the surgery will be this thursday already. i hope they are able to fix the problem and not having to remove it ! 

I had a bad slip, the only sym was a silent acid reflux and a nuance cough.  I loss my band last week. Good luck.

i just got the call that the surgery will be this thursday already. from what i have been told they will just try to place it in the right spot again . how did u feel after your surgery?

If you search here and the failed band group you can find many that had slips.  Most have the band removed now.  Hope all works out well for you.
