3 year Band Anniversary Today
I'll start on a positive note:
I'm down almost 100 lb. I was size 26 bottoms, 4 x tops, now 14-16 bottom, L-XL tops.
I lost the first 70 lb with my band, almost 30 with achalasia developing over the last year. My appointment at UW is Thursday to decide who will remove my band and what else we might be able to do for my motility issues and determine if revision is an option at all. I've been told it probably isn't, but I still am hopeful.
I remember so clearly my 1 year surgiversary post! :-(
I hope the damage is not permanent like Nicci's. I always wonder just how many bandsters end up with permanent damage of one form or another. So sad that something that so many people have done "for their health" has been the very thing that has damaged their health. :-(
