Truce?

Man you have a great memory. I hung on to her every word at first because she was a "band educator." It didn't take long to here stuff that I knew was garbage.
Some people just need to be fawned over and think they are Band educators. They will do/say anything to keep their following. You know the queen bees that have the people buzzing and fawning over them and everything coming out of their mouth is gospel. I think every board has at least one, even today.
Thanks for the memories guys.
In Annie's case it was all about money. She was selling CDs, vitamins, clicks on links even earned her money. She was working on a band book and that never panned out either. She was working on paperwork to sell to doctors so they could pass it out to their patients... all the almighty dollar.
I think OH is about the only place she wasn't banned from. She was banned from LBT and a slew of yahoo egroups as well. Heck, she was even banned from her own MDs band egroup for using fake IDs. Nobody would agree with her so she came up with fake IDs so they would agree with her. They checked IP addresses and realized it was her and banned her and all her IDs.
She had her RN license revoked in two states for a felony. Then she really came out fighting to sell her snake oil. Last we heard from her, her parents were quite ill and she was moving back to CA to take care of them. I have always assumed she ended up inheriting some money because that is when she quit trying to sell her prize band items.
Her info was all over the place, some right on the money and some... not! I'm just glad she isn't here misleading newbies anymore. Some of her advice was nothing short of dangerous.

I had heard rumors that she lost her license and such. I thought OH just finally band her when it all was proven. That sure was a feisty time on the boards.
I was just happy to have others saving us Newbies from her. Even I questioned something she said and was put in my place.
Ohhh, it wasn't a rumor. She got in trouble with the board of nursing AGAIN for claiming to still be a licensed nurse. It was right on the Oregon board of nursing website. They fined her $5K. They referred to her as a nurse imposter, it is a public link still available.
She couldn't afford the $5K so they lowered it to $2500.
No, OH didn't ban her, she still has an active account, or.. she did a few weeks ago.

I would think using the block button would be more useful, than trying to have a truce with annoying people, there are many people that post here periodically that have REAL issues that newbies can learn from, I don't think constant band bashing is beneficial or is of value to any board.
If someone wants to know the dangers of the band of being too tight or other complications, or learn how to avoid complications with the lap band they can just google, there are studies and helpful information every where on the net and you can find all the relevant information you need, you could just be hearing nagging incorrect information from people that never followed rules, so save yourself from negativity and use the block button.
Original Lap Band * 9/30/2005 * 4cc 10cm band*, lost 130 pounds. 7 Great years!
Revision surgery to AP small lap band *11/13/2012*, due to large hiatal hernia. I am hopeful about continuing my band journey uneventful and successful. I loved what my old band did for me and I am looking forward for my new band to Keep my weight down
