Original Lap Band * 9/30/2005 * 4cc 10cm band*, lost 130 pounds. 7 Great years!
Revision surgery to AP small lap band *11/13/2012*, due to large hiatal hernia. I am hopeful about continuing my band journey uneventful and successful. I loved what my old band did for me and I am looking forward for my new band to Keep my weight down
Yikes! Good for him and when it is good for him, it is good for us - right. That is why I love to see long term DS'ers like Ms. Batt. It downs my fears of my long term living with WLS. Still I think Oh God, the innards, my innards ! I can't imagine having a band over a little pouch . . . my sleeved stomach. Like I'd freak! Good for him, good for us!!!
Sweet Day!

There ya go, you found very popular attorney Lindstrom that has helped so many with appealing their weight loss insurance denials, and he has had his BOB for over 10 years, longer than most of us veteran bandsters, so yes it is possible to be a long term bander!
But you must learn how to live with your band, follow rules, learn the dangers of being too tight and what to look for, most importantly having a very skilled surgeon to do your revision, you can't be cheap on getting your band installed.
