Lap-Band Problems - and solutions
The statistics are clear that the band remains safe and provides good weight loss. We can adjust it and that is something other operations cannot do. A slip can be managed non operatively most of the time. But you can see from some responses here that some just wont believe that. So they come here and spread their belief and will challenge those who do not "believe" the same.
Their analysis of long term data is anything but scientific and make broad assumptions of fixing the data or that it is "paid" for.
Hello Mr. Simpson! I am banded 6 years in May and love my band. Have maintained a 70 pound weight loss....give or take 5 pounds. The band has saved my life. I plan to be at goal in the next year or so. I have a wonderful surgeon and his advice is very similar to yours. This was the best decision I ever made. Would do it again in a heartbeat. I've learned to respect the naysayers opinions but not respond. It fuels the fire so to speak. I am sorry they had a negative experience. i do not believe everyone does......I am proof of that. Keep up the good work. I believe you are a PA correct?
It would seem that someone has a differing opinion of the bandhttp://www.obesityhelp.com/articles/choice-of-bariatric-proc edure-a-philosophy-obtained-in-20-years-of-bariatric-practic e-2/
