March 16th 2009 I got  the lap band... No major problems...Stopped  losing long ago but, staying idle. I have 4cc in a 10cc band..BUt, when I get just the slightest fill I puke and get stuck..so I am not doing anything..Still watch what I eat and drink.. Just a happy camper... Still in a 16/18 instead of a 24 jeans. large shirt instead of a 3XXX... wish i could loose more but, I am not in the mood to puke at each meal.. as long as I am not gaining I am happy... I have to much other things going on to worry about my ban not working...I had back surgery in Dec. 2012 for a break in the lowest part of my spine and  was fine for 3 weeks after surgery and then BOOM>>>Major pain came back...now a new MRI shows 2 fractured vertebrae.. need to have them pinned in May...  Sick and tired of back surgery...May will be my 5th... :(    hope everyone is doing well...Hugs to all..."Lucky"

WOW Lucky

you've been through a lot so sorry  I'd tend to leave things alone with my band also with all the other things going on with your back . And numerous surgeries seem to drain you both emotionally and physically as well I will say a Pray for you !

Please keep us posted and  GOOD LUCK

Hi Lucky,

It is good to hear from you. You honestly have done a great job of working your band. Our goal isn't to become "skinny" but healthy, look better not perfect. It doesn't matter about anything else. Your back pain is primary. I so wish you weren't going through all of this. You take care of yourself, keep us posted on how you are doing, and remember that you have friends that care and are praying for you.

I think you're doing fine considering what's going on with your back. I hope this next surgery will be your last back surgery!

Thanks Ladies.... I sure do need all the prayers I can get...      I just talked to my Doctors asst. and she told me the MRI results show 2 fractures...:(   and my doctors wants to move my surgery up to Monday March 25th instead of waiting until May 1st... I have an appt. tomorrow (Tuesday) to go over the MRI results and talk about the surgery...I have so much anxiety right now...I hate to go thru another back surgery..but I am scared if I dont have it done soon I might fall and really do some damage.. Keep sending "Prayers'...and big hugs to all..."I will keep you posted..."Lucky"

Good luck with your surgery.

It sounds like you are doing just fine with the LB all things considered.
