NSV: the gym pays off

I've been hauling my ass to the gym in the snow and slush and freezing CT wind 4 or 5 times a week and am at the point where I ENJOY going and actually missed it when we were snowed in for 5 days. But that old ******* Mr. Scale, hasn't moved a pound, no matter how much cardio or weight training I do.cheeky

BUT, in the last 10 days I've had FOUR different people tell me that they can really see a difference. I guess I don't see it because I see my reflection ever day, and they only see me every couple of weeks or few months. But I'm not complaining. It felt really, really good to hear it!

Building more muscle are you! Way to go Bette. Kudos for getting out in that crappy weather!

I won't tell you it was 82 today. I wanted to go to the pool so bad, but instead I put down 30 bags of river rock in my flower beds! Resting tonight so I can do it again tomorrow.

Good for you Bette! Is it perking up your mood too? Supposed to be good for body and mind or so they tell me.

Congrats on your NSV!

Original Lap Band * 9/30/2005 * 4cc 10cm band*,  lost 130 pounds. 7 Great years!

Revision surgery to AP small lap band *11/13/2012*, due to large hiatal hernia. I am hopeful about continuing my band journey uneventful and successful. I loved what my old band did for me and I am looking forward for my new band to Keep my weight downsmiley

Way to go!  It's not easy to motivate out of the house in the bitter cold and snow at all, but to do it to get to the gym is awsome.  As already said, I won't talk about the Florida weather lol.  Keep up the good work!  I am glad you are feeling so good, and not letting the scale discourage you.

I've started wearing my heart monitor/calorie counter again. Upon doing my weekly wrap up, I found that I hard burned off over 3800 calories at the gym. I'm pretty proud of myself.
