BYE BYE BAND
If you are years into having your band, the weight is not coming off,you are sliming and or puking, and the list goes on...please look into revison. I put off this revision for myself for 4 years...not including the 2 first years. I wish I would have done this sooner. Tomorrow I go for my revision. I wish I had not feared about "being cut up" back in 2007. This band did not work for me. And I am not going to spend the next 41 years in fat hell. If any of you need advice or help with your decision there are great posts and people on the other boards. I know I didn't cross over to the other rooms until I got back onto to OH. There are many many people who have had this darn thing removed. I know it works for some...just wanting to extend a hand to the ones it isn't working for . Good luck to you all and PM me if you have any questions! On for my next journey;) Bye Bye Band!!!!

You are not the only person who found out the hard way that the band was not for you. I, too, have considered revision but am so afraid of going under the knife, I just can't step up to the plate. I still have my band and the tubing but no port. Haven't had a port for almost 3 years. Long story....but not worth telling.
Good luck with your revision. I do hope you have no regrets on this one. Its a big decision whether its the first time in the OR or a revision. No matter how much homework you do, I don't think you know what you're in for until the surgery is over!!
You're not alone...I have been having issues for some time now and probably need to revise, but I find myself hesitating...just not in a frame of mind to go through another surgery right now, not sure if I should do VSG or just go without WLS, worried about whether revision will be covered, where to have it done, and are there qualified band to VSG revision surgeons close to my home...lots of questions, not a lot of answers. I know I need to get on the ball and get those answers.
