In my reply, I did not promise a cure! I said that sometimes it can shrink back. I base this on what my doctor has told me when I asked him and on the reported experiences of others to whom this has happened.

It may well, if badly dilated, never shrink back. But if not badly dilated, it could do.

So what is the value in freaking out someone who is already in distress? Her medically qualified doctor thinks it might  be OK. She and he both know it might not be! This isn't tough love. Or helpfulness. It is insensitivity to the feelings of others..

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

I was not upset by your response in the least.  I appreciate all the feedback I can get.  You are correct, I'm very upset by this set back and even though I know there is going to be negativity,  I'm trying really hard to stay positive.  I have to believe this will pass and I can continue on my journey.

Thanks

Gina

No, I was irritated by the other replies.

I got in touch with MY surgeon.  Oh, how I love that man.  I'm making an appointment to see him.  He said normally it will go back to normal.  Patience is the thing.  I'm tellin you what, I should have just continued to make those trips to Chicago to see him rather than be tossed to the ones left behind.  If I have to make a yearly trip up there in order to keep him, I"m doing it.

Thank you all so much for your input.  It has helped alot.  I need to stay positive.  He said we can fix this.

No, I know you weren't replying to me. I just felt that if someone like the OP has a problem, knows she has a problem, knows it may not be solved, it is not kind to concentrate on the negative. It's not about hiding the truth or fudging anything, she knows the problem.  She just needs a bit of support while she faces the issues. Sending links (not you) to worst case scenarios is, at this time, over the top.
