Starting Over...or finally starting...

Thanks for the replies. Sorry for any confusion.  My band is at 7ccs and my doctor tells me based on restriction I feel that my band is properly filled (was there 2 weeks ago).  I guess I expected to be less hungry after my surgery because of the restriction and that is where I feel no different.  That's what they tell you, feel fuller after less food. Through reading other posts it sounds like many feel hungry as well and just deal with it.  I will continue to eat right and portions and exercise as I am committed to doing this finally, but if I'm being honest, I thought the band would make it easier and it doesn't seem to be. (Which I am accepting and will work through anyway.)

Thanks again to everyone for there help.

It took me a long time to exchange satisfied with full. But I think of "full" as I just ate Thanksgiving dinner like it was my last meal. I don't want to feel that way anymore. Now I try for satisfied. Yes, I could hold more and if it's something I liked I definitely want more. But I ask my self if I can stop now, wait at least 30 mins. drink a glass of water and see if I still feel hungry then. Most of the time when the 30 mins. is up I forget I was waiting for water and I usually do not want any more food. If I am really still hungry I will eat something different ( dense protein). It is a full time job. But well worth it!
