long time....
Wow.. I have been gone to long..lo the board has really changed.. New set up...looks good. .. Well, my questions is who does WW and had the lap bad? and does it work... I want to lose another 20 pounds...I dont want to get a fill because the last .66cc was nothing but trouble for me.. I have 4cc and I am doing good.. I just hate getting stuck all the time..That .6cc was just making my life miserable... and as some of you know (the Vets) I am prone to back surgeries...lol no really..my back is very bad.. i am once again having back fusion..(4th time) the bone fusion from 1999 has broken on both sides and is causing terrible pain..and the pins that were put in back in 2019 are working themselves loose... I can't stand up or sit down when i get up out of bed..it takes me at least 20 mins. to get my body to stand up right..horrible pain.. anyway..Surgery is for Dec. 17th.. that's what i call fast...lol.. But, the pain is at a point where it controls my whole life... something has to be done or I will def. be in a wheel chair before long... My back is so weak and brittle..I have degenerative disc disease and there is no cure for it.. Just remember to say a prayer for ame when you go to bed ...I would greatly appreciate it. Hugs to all..."Lucky"

Ouch, Lucky .. Sorry to hear about your back pain.
I went back to WW about 6 weeks after my band surgery and made it to lifetime status. I continue to attend (at least once a month)to stay accountable.
They are revealing a new plan starting on Sunday, December 2 ...called Weigh****chers 360.
I imagine right after the first of the year they will have specials where there is no registration fee.
Hi Lucky,
I think you and I share the same back except no surgery will help mine and even if they did try nothing would hold due to the osteoporosis. I sure will be praying for you. I hope you will be much more comfortable. It is frustrating for sure to get the weight off and feel like doing all sorts of new and exciting things only to have an aging body betray you. I have really struggled with that but am doing better with acceptance. That old Serenity Prayer seems to fit.
I have no experience but have seen many people on several boards keeping up with weigh****chers and seem to like the way it fits with their surgical eating plan.
Good luck and please pop in often. We miss you.
Thank goodness I finally got rid of alot of my back pain with a spinal stimulator, it doesn't fix anything but it confuses the pain nerves so that you don't feel the pain. I swear to you within a couple of hours of the implant I was nearly totally pain free. Now I rarely even have to turn it on because it seems to have confused them long term and if it does start all I have to do is recharge the stimulator and zap them again for awhile. If you are interested PM me and I'll be glad to share what it is and where you can learn more about it. Living in pain is just not acceptable!
I've read of lots of banded folks using WW in conjunction with their bands and doing quite well. Bless your heart I hope this next surgery will help you!!!!
My doctor asked me about getting one of those last year... I didn't know anyone who had one... If he suggest it to me after this surgery i will contact you... I am hoping this break in the fusion is the problem..If not I don't know what it would be... thanks..I will keep everyone posted after surgery... Merry Christmas ... Hugs Lucky

((((Lucky))))
I am so sorry you are having this terrible problem! I have no advice to back pain, but definately will keep you in prayer.
As far as W.W. be careful with the CARBS, ! If you can, try heading back to your dr.s support group meeting (assuming they have them) and to a nutrionist recommended from Dr. office as well, as they understand our requirements because how we need to eat is vastly different than W.W.. I believe they have 2 type of programs, one where you eat more "clean" foods ( not processed. ).
MO, back to basics, journal, dense protein first, veggies frui****er, Exercise? water exercises, if you haven't already tried. And come back here often and keep us updated.
Good luck,
