I agree with Hislady too!  Get to your doctor and force him to take care of this.  This is not right.

Repeated acid reflux as you describe can cause Esophageal cancer and all kinds of other thins besides the aspiration pneumonia.  It is not something to ignore.

Also, an UGI will not always show LapBand problems.

This is neither normal nor acceptable. You need to see your doc as soon as possible.

About three years after getting my band ( forget exact timing), I started to get night time heartburn. I was not even aware of the reflux itself, certainly never experienced coughing and spluttering. Could eat anything during the day without problem. But that was enough for me. I had always been told by my doc that I should go straight back to him if I got heartburn. So I did, got a tiny unfill and all has been fine ever since.

There can be other causes. But being too tight is a very easy one to rule out first.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Thanks to all that replied to this message. I ended up getting fluid removed (basically the amount of fill I had put in, they took out). I have been feeling much better and was able to sleep without any problems the very first night. So. my band was too tight. I do notice that I am hungry throughout the day and I do not feel like I have much restriction, but I may go back and ask for a tiny fill and go from there. I just think I am super sensitive and I need to take tiny baby steps when it comes to getting fills. It just doesn't come easy for me unfortunately. I really appreciate all the feedback. It was very much appreciated!
