Today is the first of 3 days in a row off work, which is a rare treat. Oh, all the wonderful things I can do now! Clean the stove! Scrub the toilets! Wash the dog bedding! What should I do first?!

Today's food plan:
B: protein latte
S: baked oatmeal (w/ fruit & nuts)
S: soft-boiled egg
L: chicken sausage, cheese protein bread
S: zucchini hummus w/ raw sugar snap peas
S: cashews
D: liver & onions, mashed potatoes, green salad
S: choco monkey protein ball

Liver & onions is one of my husband's favorite dishes and tonight's liver was a gift from a coworker who bought a slaughtered cow (beef cattle farming is almost as big as crop farming here). The last liver we got from him was very mild, so I'm hoping for the best from this one. If it's too "livery", it reminds me of the worst nights of reflux. Bile. Blech.

No exercise today, but I think I burned plenty of calories at work last night because someone called in sick and I worked as a floater.

We love Brussels sprouts, but I don't like the texture and taste of them when they're cooked very soft. So I like to shred them in my food processor and quickly stir-fry them in a little bit of olive oil (and add a tablespoon or so of water if they seem to be getting dry).
