Nah, I can't imagine being like that either.  Thank goodness, we are both alive to tell about it, but unfortunately, you still suffer!!

It's weird...l yesterday, out of the blue, left shoulder pain again. But it goes away, thankfully, after an hour or so. When I had the band, it was a constant companion.

It just takes a long time to heal, I think. Dang guts!

Pumpkin,

I think you hit the nail on the head...the picture was unkind.  In my opinion, being mean is not the best way to get your point across...it only turns people off to your message.  The OP said in her message that she had already read alot of the bad things about the band and she was searching for anyone who had something good to say.  I don't think she was tuned out to those with bad experiences...she said she had seen them...she just wanted to see if there was anyone with a good experience that she could talk to.

Just food for thought...

I read all of the negative posts. I wanted to hear some positive things, too.

Obviously I know first hand about med school loans.

I have had enough with this site. You people sure to spend a lot of time being negative nellies.

So, in other words, if I get banded, my kid will be a druggie? WTF.

Where did you read that?
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense. - Buddha

To Heather and Steph:  I think Megan got that message from Pumpkin when pumpkin wrote her this:

"If you have young children or teens that need close supervision or transpertation to and from school, sporting events, and other places kids.teens need transpertation to...hopefully you won't have to rely on some other childs parent who ends up being the " Cool Parent " and ends up buying your underage teen alcohol and/or drugs. "
